header_2_text_color=&#8221;#008c99&#8243; header_2_font_size=&#8221;39px&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;||3%||false|false&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and its food allergy division, <a title=\"Kids With Food Allergies (KFA)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kidswithfoodallergies.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kids with Food Allergies (KFA)<\/a>, conducted a three-part food allergy study titled \u201cMy Life with Food Allergy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the study is to understand the burden of food allergy from three populations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parents of children with food allergies<\/li>\n<li>Teen\/young adult patients with food allergies<\/li>\n<li>Adults with food allergies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first report from this study \u2013 the <a href=\"https:\/\/kidswithfoodallergies.org\/research\/our-food-allergy-research\/my-life-with-food-allergies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My Life with Food Allergy: Parent Survey Report<\/a> \u2013 summarizes the emotional, social, and financial impact on the parent or caregiver of a child with food allergies.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the breadth of topics covered by the survey, responses provided a great deal of insights into patient and caregiver experiences, beliefs, and knowledge. Throughout this report, the most notable data presented will focus on these three key findings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mental and emotional impact of food allergy on parents is greater than the impact on patients themselves.<\/li>\n<li>Food allergies have considerable impact on parents\u2019 social lives.<\/li>\n<li>Food allergies cause significant financial strain and time burden for
