Dr. Tanya Laidlaw is an allergist and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She works in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and serves as Director of its <\/span>AERD Center<\/span><\/a>. Dr. Laidlaw specializes in nasal polyps, asthma, and aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD). Dr. Kathleen (Katie) Buchheit is an allergist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She works in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and serves as Assistant Director of its <\/span>AERD Center<\/span><\/a>. Dr. Buchheit’s research focuses on understanding what causes nasal polyps and AERD. She leads an NIH-funded study on the role of B cells and plasma cells in these conditions and has published more than 80 research papers on these topics.<\/span>

Her research focuses on understanding different types of sinus disease, the impact of environmental factors on upper airway health, and finding new ways to treat chronic inflammation. Her work bridges basic science and clinical care to help improve outcomes for patients.<\/span>
